Student visas allow citizens of foreign countries to study in the United States. Depending on your course of study and type of instituion you plan to attend, you will either need an F or an M student visa.
Forms Study & Exchange Visas
F visas are reserved for those attending university, college, high school, private elementary school, seminary, conservatory, and other academic instituison, including language training programs.
M visas are reserved for vocational or other recognized nonacademic institution, other than a language training program.
